Underhill Lions LLC worked through this Philadelphia rowhome as one renovation, with one crew from the stairs to the back deck.
What we did
- A bathroom with a marble-look porcelain shower, a white vanity and a wood-look tile floor.
- The main staircase finished with gray treads, white risers and a black metal railing.
- Wood-look plank flooring and fresh paint in the bedrooms and entry.
- A stairway with carpeted treads and a wall-mounted handrail.
- A rear deck with gray composite boards and black balusters.
One crew working room by room keeps the trades in order and the house on one schedule. That is how we run every whole-home renovation in Philadelphia.
Why these choices work in a rowhome
Rowhomes are narrow, and every room shares stairs and walls with the next, so finishes that read as one house matter. Wood-look tile in the bathroom echoes the plank flooring elsewhere while standing up to water. Gray stair treads with white risers hide scuffs and make each step easy to see. A composite rear deck will not splinter, rot or need staining, which suits a small back yard that gets heavy use.
