Paint is the finish everyone sees, and the difference between a professional job and a weekend one is almost entirely prep. Underhill Lions LLC paints interiors and exteriors across Philadelphia, Bucks and Montgomery Counties, as a standalone job or as the last step of a renovation we built.

Interior painting

We move and cover furniture, protect the floors, patch and sand every wall, caulk the trim and prime where it is needed before the first finish coat. Walls, ceilings, trim, doors, closets and built-ins, in the sheen that fits the room. We work room by room in a lived-in house and put each room back before we leave.

Exterior painting

Siding, stucco, previously painted brick, trim, porches, doors and railings. Exteriors get washed, scraped, sanded and primed, with rotted trim repaired by our carpentry crew rather than painted over. We use Sherwin-Williams exterior lines rated for freeze and thaw.

Frequently Asked Questions

Sherwin-Williams for walls, ceilings, trim and exteriors, with KILZ primers for stains, bare drywall and repairs. We will recommend a sheen for each room: flat on ceilings, eggshell or satin on walls, semi-gloss on trim and doors.

Yes. Nail pops, cracks, holes and old patches are part of every interior job, and we skim coat walls where old plaster or texture needs it. Larger drywall repairs are itemized on the estimate.

One or two rooms in a day for walls. A whole home interior takes about a week. Exteriors depend on the size of the house and the weather; we schedule them from spring through fall.

Yes. We paint siding, stucco, brick that has been painted before, trim, doors and railings. Stucco and masonry get a masonry primer and an elastomeric or acrylic finish that handles Philadelphia winters.

Yes. Cabinets are cleaned, de-glossed, primed and finished with a cabinet enamel. It is a good-value refresh when the boxes are solid and the layout works.
