What we did
- Installed cement board and waterproofing on the floor and walls.
- Tiled the tub surround in light porcelain and added a black rain showerhead.
- Laid gray plank-look porcelain tile across the floor.
- Installed a white shaker vanity, a rounded black mirror, black faucets and black lighting.

Designing around a sloped ceiling
A sloped ceiling leaves less headroom, so where the shower and fixtures sit matters more than in a standard room. Matte black fixtures give a small room a clear look and hide water spots better than polished chrome. Plank-look porcelain on the floor brings the warmth of wood into a bathroom while staying fully waterproof. Cement board and waterproofing under the tile protect the floor and walls behind it.
