A bright L-shaped kitchen built around white shaker cabinets and a gray glass backsplash.
What we did
- Installed white shaker cabinets with brushed-nickel pulls.
- Set white quartz counters with an undermount stainless sink under the window.
- Tiled the backsplash in gray glass subway tile.
- Fitted a stainless gas range, microwave and refrigerator, and laid wood-look plank flooring.

Why these finishes
White shaker cabinets are a classic that suits almost any house and will not date the way a trendy door style can. Gray glass subway tile adds color and reflects light back into an L-shaped kitchen, and glass wipes clean easily behind the range. Quartz counters need no sealing and resist stains, and an undermount sink under the window lets crumbs wipe straight in. Wood-look plank flooring handles spills better than real hardwood.
