A full bathroom remodel in a Levittown house.
What we did
- Set a new tub and tiled the surround in large-format gray tile.
- Installed a gray vanity, an oval black-framed mirror and matte black fixtures.
- Laid a gray plank tile floor.
Why large-format tile and matte black
Large-format wall tile around the tub means fewer grout lines, so there is less to scrub and less for water to work into. Plank tile on the floor gives the look of wood without the risk of water damage. Matte black fixtures and a black-framed oval mirror stand out against gray tile and do not show water spots the way polished chrome does.
